Casadei tortoiseshell trim ankle-strap peep toe platforms

tscasadei.jpgTortoiseshell really is everywhere, isn't it? I would blame myself, but I don't think I have that kind of power (yet)! It must be something in the water that's making everyone come out with shoes trimmed with the print. Some styles come off better than others, and these Casadei ankle-strap platforms possibly have a bit too much going on. What do you think? Perhaps without the metallic heel they'd be worth the $374.95 asking price. Or perhaps not.

Principles sequinned crossover sandals

ppsequin.jpgThere's nothing better than a high street shoe that could easily pass for designer, and Principles have managed to bring us just that with this subtle but sexy sequinned crossover number. It might be a bit redundant now the party season is over, but we all need cheering up this time of year, and shoe shopping does the job perfectly. Snag these for £45 now and put them away for your next posh party, where you can pretend they're Christian Louboutin. A bit of red paint on the soles and nobody will know the difference. Honest!

Poste Mistress £20 ankle boot bargains!

blackbboot.jpgThe sale at Office spin-off Poste Mistress has been a brilliant place to grab a bargain. From pretty vintage-inspired bow courts to beautiful satin pumps, they've got all kinds of shoes going for a song. It's not very often you'll find leather boots for £20, but that's what these fold and buckle numbers are going for. They'd be perfect for tucking your skinny jeans into if you're fed up of knee-highs, and are a really good find for girls who find most ankle boots too skinny.

Valentino's Lizard-print handpainted d'Orsays

teakheels.jpgDepartment stores. They're happy to come up with stupid names for colours (you know, blue becomes cerulean and black becomes charcoal) but now they think we're so stupid they're putting idiot-friendly translations in brackets. Thank you, Neiman Marcus, for letting us know that 'teak' is in fact brown. I'll write that one down so I don't forget. Moving on to the matter at hand, the shoes are actually quite spectacular. They're handpainted lizard-print leather from Valentino, and can be yours for a mere $995.

Gina's 'Rox' sandals in Jordan-esque pink

pinkrox.jpgIf Jordan could go back and do her wedding all over again (God help us) I'm sure she'd forgo her Moda In Pelle pink glitter courts in favour of these Gina offerings. This is a new colour for the bestselling 'Rox' design, as worn by such celebs as...er, Tara Palmer Tomkinson. But before you scoff into your coffee, Madonna's also a fan, and many a fashionista has been spotted in Gina sandals. The Rox designs (in red and yellow gold with a platform, or more subtle metallics without) will set you back £395.

'Diner' bow pumps from Accessorize

spotsnstripes.jpgSpots and stripes together on the same shoe? It's just a big old clash party waiting to happen really, so why are these spotty, stripey, clashy pumps from Accessorize so totally cute? Well, sometimes it's nice to just forget about the "rules", and while either of these prints would have been a lot of fun on their own, I think they're even better together - and only £22 into the bargain!

Red suede bow detail peep toes from ASOS

redsuede.jpg
The side view of these shoes doesn't do them justice. No, to see how nice they really are you're going to have to hop over to ASOS and view them from above, where you'll see the cute little bow detail in all its glory. These are the kind of peep toes that demand red painted toenails to match - and when you've got them, you'll probably trip over all day as you gaze at them lovingly. (The shoes, that is. Not the toenails.) Or maybe that's just me. They're £35, anyway, should you want to give 'em a whirl.
