Report's low-cut toe cleavage slingbacks

reporttc.jpgIf you're a fan of toe cleavage, this is most definitely the shoe for you! Christian Louboutin advises that women wanting to lengthen their legs should go for the lowest cut shoe they can...and I doubt you'll get anything more revealing than this slashed, strappy number. It's not from the maestro himself, but from Report, and will set you back $175 in black, bronze or orange. Just practice walking in them first, slingbacks this sparse aren't the easiest shoes to master!

Sketchers 'Stephanie' ribbon tie brogue heels

sketchersshoe.jpgWhen I think of Sketchers, I think of clumpy trainers and overstyled ad campaigns featuring saccharine sweet teen idols with ridiculously white teeth. So it was a surprise to find that these quirky brogue-like heels are part of their collection. Sketchers have always done a few shoes, but they've tended to be of the 'unless you're under 18, you won't get away with them' variety. These, on the other hand, look more suited to a librarian or a 1920s flapper girl than your average Ashlee Simpson fan. They're $69 in a choice of three colours (say no to the white) at Zappos.

Christian Lacroix white diamante pumps

lacroix.jpg
After all those white dresses we saw at the Golden Globes, I guess we shouldn't be surprised to see a clutch of white shoes coming into the stores, too. These round-toed courts by Christian Lacroix are just one example of the white shoe explosion, and they're rather a cute example, too. Yes, they've gone for a bit of bow overkill with the inclusion of not one but two bows on the toe, and the pink soles are all just a bit too Louboutin-like for comfort, but I still like them – even if they do remind me of bridal shoes. They're $473.95.

Dune's 'Cooey' polka dot pumps

cooey.jpg I'm pretty sure now that Dune are trying to torture me - or at least take all my money. I mean, sure, they've raised their prices lately, but when they bring out shoes like these, I can almost see why. Yes, they're a little bit kitsch. No, I really don't care. These shoes are fun and frivolous, and also? They're called 'Cooey'. Wear them with just about anything from Dollydagger and you'll be playing Gwen Stefani and Christina Aguilera at their own game before you know it...

Shiny Fashion Forum Update

header.jpg

It's been a while since we've checked in with the goings on over at the Shiny Fashion Forums, so it's time we all caught up on the latest points of discussion, which is obviously shoes, shoes and more shoes!
Our ardent forumites are currently lusting over these polka dot Dolce & Gabbana offerings from Saks. They're getting a lot of thumbs up, but the hefty price tag is a no-no. What do you think?
Don't be scared of joining in, because they're such a friendly bunch over at the forum. Got a shoe dilemma? They can help. Don't know which shoes to get, e.g. these Steve Maddens or the pair from the Old Navy? They'll help you decide. How about if you're looking for some Tips n' Tricks on how to keep your new shoes from crippling you? They'll have some tried and tested suggestions. In between all the shoes talk, they've all been getting snap happy so that they can show off their shoes. Do you have a shoe collection to be reckoned with and want to show it off? Maybe you feel like giving our very own Ms. Shoewawa a run for her money shoes (I doubt it, but you can try), then you know what to do. So, that's all for now, but I can guarantee there will be more chitchat over at the forums. See you there!

Betsey Johnson leopard print peep toe

V259446_SPLIT1.jpg Sometimes, animal print shoes just don't work. This Betsey Johnson leopard print peep toe almost had it, until you look at the odd platform add-on at the front of the shoe. It's almost as if it were stuck on as an after thought. So hold out your hand in front of you, and use it to cover that part of the shoe, and now take a look. Without the platform, the shoe is perfect for vamping a pair of dark denims - or, if you're going for something a little smarter, a pencil skirt. Think Ms. Aguilera and her blonde bombshell look. Alas, back to reality and the fact that they do have that weird platform. However, if you do still like them they are on sale for $299 at Victoria's Secret.

Marni two-tone heel calf boots - more than £200 off!

marniboots.jpgIf you're a label lover in the UK, the Browns sale is a great place to pick up a bargain, and these Marni boots are the perfect example. They're still a big investment - as most designer shoes are even when they're reduced - but you'll save a massive £220 on the original retail price if you snap them up now. The two-tone soled brown leather round-toe boots are £225, and there are a fair amount of sizes still up for grabs if you get a move on.
