Bootie Pies’ ‘Pedicure Boots for Posh Toes’
Oh my. Now, I know that Uggs are only mildly more liked than Mukluks around here - although, I'll admit to owning the lilac Uggs, which I love - but even these are beyond me. For those of you who just don't know what to do with yourself when it comes to Winter pedicures, Bootie Pies have created a range of 'Pedicure Boots', which have a removable patent leather toe... just so you don't have to take your shoes off. Seriously - you'd think women were getting pedicures out of doors!
To dull the blow a little, I've picked the nicer of colours on offer, but I've saved the real horror for after the cut. You've been warned. I will not be held responsible for any psychological damage they may or may not cause!

If you really must, they're available in US sizes 5 - 11 for $128.

Are they so you get a pedi without taking your shoes off, or are they for after you have the pedi and you can keep your toes out, but then how would you get your toes in without ruining the varnish....
If you need to think so much about how to work a pair of shoes, they are not worth buying!

you put them on before you get your toes polished. the patent leather part gets pushed down and your toes go on top of it. then you get your toes polished and you don't have to wait around for them to dry or freeze wearing flip flops home. like them or not, they are popping up all over new york city

These boots sound perfect for my winter pedicures. But not at $128 a pair. If anyone hears of cheaper ones, please let me know!

I get how these work right up to the point when you put the patent bit back on - it's under your toes. How do you get it out and then back over your toes without smudging and how does it fasten to the rest of the boot?

The idea is that you keep your toes exposed until the polish on your toes is dry. Then you can remove the boot without worrynig about any smudging whatsoever.
The patent leather toe is connected to the sole portion of the boot, so you don't remove it entirely, and there is no need to!
I bought my girlfriend a pair and she uses them all the time and loves them! I never knew so much about pedicures until these clever girls came up with this product. Take my word for it...your sisters/girlfriends/mothers WILL LOVE THEM!

As a nail tech in a very cold climate, I think this is a great idea! I wish we sold them in my salon! BUT - I don't think I like the patent toe (eye appeal - NOT!) - although I can see why they used that material rather than the upper fabric. $128 seems pricey and I am sure we wouldn't sell many for that price in our salon. You can get PediSox and Spreadums for a lot less than that and they provide the same warmth!
