J. Renee ladybird slides

ladywbird.jpgCute n' kitsch or just too kitsch to be cool? I can't quite decide, although I have a feeling that my irrational hatred of toe-post shoes would probably end up making the decision for me with these. They're by J. Renee and although you can't see it too well in this picture, the ladybird is actually made out of rhinestones and is set on a clear plastic strip, which would presumably make it look like it was painted directly onto your foot when you wore them. Nope, the jury's still out for me, I'm afraid: if you decide you like them, you'll find them at Zappos, for $79.

Ooh no, indeed: these are Florida housewife in Juicy tracksuit picking up some coffee and jewels on a Saturday morning.

Hatred of the toe-post is entirely rational: is there *one* pair of shoes bearing a toe post that look in any way attractive?
