Poetic Licence mid-heel bow court

poetic-licence-merlot-court.jpgThis shoe's colour is called 'merlot' and no wonder, it's a wonderful, rich garnet, and wearing such a colour seems to make all this cold weather seem worthwhile. While I love the snub-toe detail and the ostentatious bow, I'm not entirely sure about the narrow, wood-coloured stack-effect heel. To me it seems a touch flimsy-looking for such a richly-coloured shoe, and I wonder if it would look better if it were more substantial, or at least in the same colour. What do you think? It's on sale for half price at £30 from Shoes.co.uk.

My GOd! I think I'm in love. A little trick taht I learned when I was in junior high and buying knockoffs at different locations for $19.99. Take the shoe and spray paint it with fabric paint or shoe dye and you can alter whatever you'd like. I recently bought high street shoes that looked like louboutins except for the sole. They were extremely well made too. So out came the perfectly matching red paint can. And now people ask me all the time where I got such a unique louboutin. So shoot me. I own louboutins, but none are as comfortable as those. I think a merlot colored heel would suit the shoe nicely. And they are at such a low price i wouldn't care if it did have a stacked heel.

I think they'd look more balanced with a chunkier heel. Good tip on the spray painting though.
PS. I just discovered shoes.co.uk for myself today and bought a lovely pair of snakeskin peep toes.
