Snaps for Shoewawa?

We've got a little test for you. Hover over this link. See that? That's a Snap. And from now on, any link you hover on will bring up a little thumbnail of the site (except for internal links, like other Shoewawa pages). Magic, eh? So, now you'll know where we're sending you before you start the intrepid journey.

We're giving these a trial to see what you all think of them, so let us know your thoughts. If you hate them, we'll dump them, but we think it's a great way of seeing where we're sending you without opening another window / tab.

EDIT: Just so you know, the Snaps don't earn us any money, they're not ads.

Snaps for Shoewawa? - Comments

  • I like them. I like to know whether a link is going to be worth clicking on or not before I click (especially given that my internet connection sometimes goes on a "go slow" for no apparent reason!), so I think this is a good idea :)

well, i do like them, it saves times, energy, and finger-clicking!

its handy cos you might not wanna go to the page thats linked but you dont know til you go, whereas this is like seeing into the future...!

my internet connection is really poor and it takes longer to open a new page than it does for the snap to appear.

i vote to keep them. but only if they are free!

  • i was a bit confused at first, cos i thought they were an annoying pop up, but they are actually very practical cos u can see sumthign before bothering and opening the window- time consuming. so yeh keep them, but is there anyway to limit them just to links to pictures of clothes/shoes?

btw gd to kno ur not earing any money from it.

To be honest - I LOVE them! Sometimes, you don't even need to do a click through to see something a blogger is talking about (e.g. a link to an alternative colour of the same shoe), so it saves having to wait for another page to load.

The accidental hover-overs only happened for me on the first day or two, and now that I know what the links do, it's not a prob :)

Seems I'm in the minority, though!

The accidental mouseovers tend to get a tad annoying. Not really useful.
