If you're the kind of girl who doesn't like to be noticed, then these shoes probably aren't for you. Shoes like these were made to be stared at and commented on - as for whether the comments are good ones or bad ones, well, it's hard to tell. Some people will love the bold combination of red heels and zebra print, others will hate it. The covered platform means you'll tower over them all anyway, though, so who cares what people think?

Check out that heel! This 'Copacabana' from Aldo is not a shoe I could imagine Victoria Beckham wearing, for the plain reason that the shoe probably weighs more than her. It comes in four colours: gold, red and black patent. However, the bone colour (pictured) is best, it works with the wooden heel, and because of the patent, it looks more expensive than the $99.99 it actually is.

The word 'biddie' usually conjures up images of old polyester clad grannies. However, there is nothing remotely grannyish about these 'Biddie Courts' from Office, where they are currently being admired over at the Shiny Fashion Forum (they have such good taste). At a very affordable £44.99, these round toe metallic lovelies would make a welcome addition to any shoe lovers collection. After all, you can never have too many shoes.

The results of the largest global study of sexual kinks ever taken (how many of these do they have?) show that feet and shoes are by far the biggest turn on. Oo-er missus, there I was thinking that shoes were all about fashion and in fact it's really S-E-X! Personally I follow Madonna's opinion "Shoes are better than sex because they last longer". Even better are a combination of the two, a truly sexy pair of heels like the Verice peep toe pumps by Miu Miu, £185.00. Gold stiletto, patent, peephole toe? Words that definitely get me hot under the collar!

Following on from the cobalt theme started by Jess, I'm loving these '80s fabulous shoe boots, Gudrun 1 from Scorah Pattullo. Though technically defined as China Blue (?), they fit in with the colour trend that is going to be huge this Spring. Wear them like Sienna Miller with opaque tights, cut off denims and bags of attitude. They also come in black and a Jessica Simpson style 'lipstick red'.

Yes folks, I kid you not. After creating an exclusive collection for US designers Heatherette during New York Fashion week, audience members including celebs like Mena Suvari bombarded Irregular Choice designer Danny Sullivan for their own pair. Due to popular demand he is now creating a limited edition footwear range, "Heatherette Loves Irregular Choice". If you're partial to the eccentric IC style, the limited collection will be available exclusively on their website from June.

As a girl who goes for shoes with a particularly quirky flavour (though less Irregular Choice, more Poste Mistress) I don't often check out Nine West, whose footwear often reminds me of the office. However, I was pleasantly surprised when I saw these little numbers on their website. Dubbed Jendavi and priced at £65, I love the leopard print soles and cut-out side detail. Worn with a tight pencil skirt and pussy bow shirt they're still suitable for the office...but in a Maggie Gyllenhaal "Secretary" type way.
