This is such a simple shoe that it would barely even raise an eyebrow were it not for the shape of the wedge. Rather than that "flat to the floor" shape that most makers of wedge heels tend to create, River Island have decided to go with the slightly less common "slightly raised wedge" (these are very technical terms I'm using here, you understand), and it makes all the difference. These would make a great alternative to courts for a spring work outfit, with the peep-toe front making them a little bit sexy, too. They're £49.99.
