The Shoes of Salvation

000717845X.01._SS500_SCLZZZZZZZ_.jpg Other than fellow Showawa readers, Shiny Fashion Forumites and fellow gal pals, who else understands the relationship between a girl and her shoes? Not your partners (unless you're lucky), not your bank manager and definitely not that little voice inside your head who keeps trying to dissuade you from buying the pretty footwear. Then along comes Edward Monkton and his poem, The Shoes of Salvation and hits the nail on the head. It touches upon the relationship between the lady and her shoes, how she admired them and then finally bought them (sound familiar anyone?). In turn, it also shows the shoes' admiration for its owner and looks upon her as a goddess (I don't think my shoes quite feel that way about me). All in all, a fun (short) read that'll validate any shoe purchase you ever felt guilty about.
