Topshop 'Gladiator' Sandals

Gladiatorn.jpgHow can you tell warmer days are coming? Is it the fact that it gets darker later in the evening, that you can get away with wearing a cardigan and not a coat or that unnatural craving for Mint Cornettos (oh, that's just me?). Nope, it's the comeback of the gladiator sandal. Every high street shop has a variation but as we know they're not the most forgiving of footwear. If you still got to have them, these flat leather sandals from Topshop are a good variation. The colours fit well with the upcoming "neon" look and they don't have the ankle strap common with Gladiator sandals which can make a thicker leg verge on tree trunk proportions. Added bonus? They're a bargain at £18.

hey, i was wondering when these would come back!

those of us old enough to remember the mid-80s craze will recognize these as Mexican huaraches, not gladiators :)

Those aren't gladiators--they're huaraches; a lot of celebrities wore these Mexican "tire shoes" last summer.
