Yay or Nay.... Friday?

yaynay70.jpgThe '80s. A decade filled with synthetic clothing, big hair, electronic music and... apparently, awful shoes. With only two of you voting (are you all on holidays or something?!), it was an easy 'Nay', for those poor ol' elasticated boots by Lotus - especially for the blow-out price of £140!

This week's offering, on the other hand, is rather fluffy; and while Samantha of 'Sex and the City' fame declared this style to be 'fabulous', we're more interested in what you think! So are they fabulously fussy... or senselessly silly? Yay or Nay and why?

Are they slippers? yes for slippers but no no no to wearing outside (except at fancy dress party - I wore some once to a pajama party!)

Yay for indoor, how luxurious. Nay for outside. Slightly impractical!

I'm sure when I was youinger my Barbie had a pair these, though presumedly in pink. They are kinda fun and cute in a "50's housewife" way but for serious wear? Nay!

My inner diva says, "Dahhling! Those are perfect for lounging around the villa after a rough day of shopping." I think that means yay.

Oh, YAY!
It's a guilty little secret goal of mine to own a pair of fluffy marabou slippers (I have yet to get my hands on a pair), but I must say that I used to think they were too silly - until I tried on a pair. There's something about fluffy toes that makes me feel so... is fabulous the word? I even crafted a pair of fluffy marabou shoe clips in white to wear with my bunny ears at Easter time - and Yes, I wore them to the office! ;)

Nay. I'm not a big fan of fluffy footwear. Maybe if it didn't have that kitten heel....

Yay inside, nay outside.

These scream "bedroom".

Nay, they remind me of a pair of shoes Carrie wore in an OLD episode of Sex and the City. A little too "trashy lingerie chic" for my taste.

Posted by: Miranda | February 24, 2007 9:58 AM

Nay. I agree with Miranda- "trashy lingerie chic" is right! I wonder what these look like when they've been out in the rain for a little while?

Posted by: Christine | February 25, 2007 4:08 AM

NAY
ugly eww

Posted by: Kelly | February 25, 2007 4:58 AM

Yay, for indoors but preferably with a much higher heel. These couldn't surely be meant for outside?

Posted by: Arnez | February 25, 2007 7:05 PM

Crank up the heel to 4" and keep in the bedroom. What's the beef over lingerie chic?

Posted by: Katy | February 25, 2007 7:15 PM

If I had some lingerie to go with it I would totally wear them

Posted by: LovieKins | February 27, 2007 1:49 AM

Nay! They look like a dead bird was stuck on my feet.

Posted by: ilovecheese | February 27, 2007 11:44 AM

They'd be fun for wearing around the house -- what a way to glam up the sweatpants! Even at home, they'd have to be worn ironically with a sense of humor. I couldn't imagine wearing them anywhere else, though.

So Yay and home and Nay away.

Oh but they are lovely, where are they from, I am looking for a pair, but not in black!
