Yay or Nay Wednesday

yaynayperspex.jpg
It seems that poor old Faith got it wrong, with their denim and leather mix 'Menim' boots. As last week's Yay or Nay, they received a rather demoralising and unanimous dressing down, for being far too fuss-pot and more than a little Britney-and-Jordan-esque.

This week's Yay or Nay is a little different. Usually, we would ask you to vote on a particular pair of shoes... but today, we're more interested on your thoughts about a shoe concept. Featuring heavily in Spring / Summer runway collections, and now hitting the High Street, we'd like to know: What do you think of perspex? Is it a style concept that excites you... or is its use about as clear as mud? Yay or Nay and why?

Sweaty, cut feet are a NAY!

Exactly!!! since when did paying lots of money for plastic shoes become acceptable?!? Though I must admit it is a good material for a heel.

I love it on a thick heel, but only when it doesn't look like it's plastic like the Brian Atwood skyline slingback pumps (they are for about $900 at Saks Fifth Avenue if you click on my name - hyperlink) It just works as a heel, but I do like the concept of the shoe, it's just too impractical. So I think I will say yay for the heels sake. Plus, it would be fun to try on!.

Yay when it's a thick heel or wedge heel. Don't like it on the sides of a shoe. You know those see-through bra straps? - They always get discoloured I find - so wouldn't that happen to clear sides on a shoe? Yuck!

I think its fine on the heel, and IC do a lovely pair of courts with a kind of etched perspex heel but not on the actual shoe!! Gads.

Bleh! I hate plastic shoes... the feet need to breathe.

I'm split on the issue. Nay for uppers, yay for heels /wedges/platforms. I'm a fan of unusual heels though so I'm definitely biased.

YAY on heels, NAY on being a part of the shoe that touches your feet. Reminds me too much of prom shoes in the 90's.

I hate persepex... I could just about live with it on a heel, but on the uppers I think it almost always looks cheap. So it's a NAY from me!

NAY! Since when did the new trend become stipper chic?
