Don't worry about your favorite trends disappearing next Fall/Autumn; they were definitely out in full force on the runways. Patent leather platforms were strapped to the feet of the stomping stalkers at Y&Kei, many in a medium grey shade that didn't quite take off last Fall. Let's hope this time it sticks! Grey makes a terrific neutral, but still stands out from all the blacks and browns. It's special without the over-the-top glitz of metallic. Speaking of metallic, it can also act as the demure little sister of silver.
