It seems that last week's feather-embellished flats - Kate Spade's 'Dusk' - fell a little flat. Still, 'bird-brained' or not, they certainly won a few fans! If you're keen, you can pick them up for a discounted $159.99 from Bluefly.
This week's offering was actually suggested for 'Ugly Shoe of the Week', but I thought I'd put it to the vote instead! A rather 'different' stiletto / shoe / boot concoction... is it a designer doozie or frightfully foul? Yay or Nay and why?

At first glance, these “Grace” sandals from Monsoon have the potential to be brilliant. The shade of pink is lovely, the low heel allows you to be on your feet for prolonged periods, and the gold inside adds an undeniable touch of class. Sadly, the pass marks in these sections are obliterated by the concertina on the front of the shoe, which sticks out like a sore thumb. How many chickens died so a perfectly good shoe could be ruined? Price is £80, plus eternal vigilance against Foghorn Leghorn’s relatives.

When we think of ribbon sandals, visions of candy-colored confections typically spring to mind. But there's something much more sophisticated about the black and natural stripes of this Bruno Frisoni ribbon platform sandal. The thin-as-a-nail stiletto doesn't hurt, and certainly vamps things up. With a matching ribbon clutch, it's no surprise Vivre chose it as a charming coordinate for spring.

How do you amp up the rock 'n' roll factor on a white pump? Add grommets! Those little metal details that can look perfectly pretty on a grosgrain ribbon look positively punk on a white leather pump. Despite the name 'Comical', there is nothing comical about these cute navy canvas courts from Faith.Whilst the navy and white colour scheme, gives a little nod to the nautical theme; the bow and the punched hole detailing finish the shoe off perfectly.
