Gina 'Ellie' patent leather boots
I get the feeling that Gina have tried to solve a problem that doesn't really exist with the 'Ellie' patent boot. I would imagine the thought process behind this was something like "some girls want to wear shoes but need to be wearing boots due to the weather" and therefore they produced a boot with pewter decoration to make it look like a Mary-Jane. I'm really not sure about this and can't help but think the boots would be perfectly serviceable without their adornment, but if you do like them, they'll set you back £445.

It's subtle enough to work. If the boot and shoe design were different colors or materials, it would look silly. Didn't Marc Jacobs and Anthropologie do this look but bolder and therefore uglier?
