Yay or Nay Wednesday

yaynay72.jpgRed, clunky, patent heels might be well and good for the Olsen twins, but not so for our darling Shoewawa readers, it seems! For that small minority who loved them, though, they're by Marni and are yours for £229.

Of course, when you see this week's Yay or Nay, you might well run clamouring for those Marni offerings, as these are far more "interesting". Are they elastic fantastic or nineties nightmares? Yay or Nay and why?

Wow, the stretchiness would be *so* comfortable for my extra-wide, hard-to-shop-for feet, that the style is almost totally irrelevant :)

Nay, i dont like the fact there is no clasp for the ankle strap, you just seem to slip your foot in...? they look too ortho, and the thick black sole under the perspex looks strange.

Hooker heels with a bandage-like top? No thanks. Nay!

Oh, I love the heels, but the fronts are way too high up the foot which ruin the look. 'Fraid it has to be a nay from me.

they would be wonderful if they didnt have that extra strap across the front! so sad.

ICK. Mid 90's throwbacks. One of the worst I think ive ever seen.

Dare i say it, but with the rite outfit, i think these could work..(mayb with dark jeans).. like Arnez, i like the heel.. but its abit more of a "hmmmmm", than yay!

Nay - everything about them is just awful!

Yay, barely. I'd really like to see some sort of adjustment on the ankle strap, or better, no strap. The wide strap over the instep looks to be enough to keep the shoe on without the ankle strap cutting the line of the leg. And is that a cut out through the perspex wedge?

I love the idea of a perspex heel, but this shoe is just depressing. NAY!!! Elastic materials have room for better looking shoes, too (a very small room). And I also think that the perspex heel in a wedge form is just too hooker-ish. I can see Hilda from Ugly Betty prancing around in her home in there! Well, kind of.

Nay. These shoes are fugly. The elastic ankle straps and uppers will make a person's legs look like sausages.

I love lucite heels, but not when they're paired with granny's sandals.
