I get the impression that Havaianas are the summer equivalent of the Ugg boot. By this, I mean that despite the trends changing from year to year people are reluctant to give up their trusty Havaianas based of sheer comfort. Along with the classic style now available in every colour under the sun (literally) you can now get hold of 'flash', the new "more comfortable" flip flop which promises to remain odour free! Available from rubbersole.co.uk for £11.99

If you're looking for a fairly easy to wear heeled sandal that's versatile and cheap this summer, I may have just found it for you. Step forward, the ASOS cross front stacked platform shoe (now, there's a shoe name that rolls off the tongue). The straps aren't too thin making it appear to have a gladiator-style look, and it comes in the fairly obvious 'tan' as well as the slightly less obvious 'tendril green', which sounds suspiciously like some kind of deep-sea monster. Go on the ASOS website to get these for £25 in sizes 3-8.

I think I like these shoes. I like the idea of an elegant looking flat shoe but the print is some how not quite right. It reminds me too much of the trousers that Rupert the bear used to wear. However, if you've never seen Rupert the bear or can get over that, they're £29.99 from Aldo. Unfortunately they're not available online yet but you can pick up a pair in store. The day has finally arrived! Today is the Kate Moss for Topshop launch, otherwise known as K-Day and Catwalk Queen are getting pumped for what will no doubt be a huge day on the fashion calendar. Thanks to T-Mobile we'll be liveblogging the event by using their web'n'walk tariff. Yay! It also means that we'll be bringing you all the latest news, pics and goss while we eagerly wait in queue to get a gander of the goods and hopefully the supermodel herself!
So keep checking Catwalk Queen for all the latest direct and live from Oxford Street for the launch...
P.S. Heading down to the launch? Make sure to check out our survival guide! And remember, there'll also be coverage from our mates at OSOYOU.

Hmm..similar silhouette and a metallic finish? I thought these Mossimo Perry patent cork slides were cute back in February even before I noticed their similarity to the Michael Kors Layla espadrilles. The Kors feature a woven espadrille wedge heel and silver leather crisscross straps with jagged edges. The Mossimos are actually a bit sleeker with cork platform wedge heels and faux patent leather shiny crisscross straps. And of course the Target options come in red, green, or blue, which at US$21.24 is actually doable. Even at a discount, the Kors version is US$99.

Another trip to Delias, another pretty pair of shoes. I love the star cut out detail in these Charles Albert sandals, along with the mini wedge which will simultaneously be easy to walk in as well as giving your legs that valuable extra inch. Also available in black, you can pick them up for $42.

A few months ago we introduced you to nautical inspired flats by Moschino with cute anchor detail. These striped flats appear to continue the nautical trend with the stripes and rope detail. They would look great with cropped jeans or wide legged trousers or could easily be dressed up with a summer dress. They offer a great, dressy alternative to flip-flops. £155 from net-a-porter.com
