It seems that sometimes red carpet favorite label Armani can go a bit too ... elegant grandmother with their accessory choices. It's up in the air as to whether this shoe is proof of that trend or in defiance of it. The problem is that while elegant grandmothers may love the embroidered heel of this d'Orsay pump, as do we, the plain, harshly straight toe strap is a bit jarring. While we enjoy the cutout vamp as a general style convention, the sophisticated sweep of this one is ruined by that ugly toe strap.
