La Redoute takes on Dior...two years too late
Sometimes I do worry that all the random footwear knowledge I have stored away in my brain is taking up space that might be better used for something else (like remembering people's names, for example). On spotting the tan La Redoute pump on the right I had an instant recollection of a designer shoe from way back when. Alarm bells in the back of my head said 'Dior', and a quick search of Shoewawa proved me right. The shoe on the left first appeared on Shoewawa in November 2005, when I showed it up against a Faith alternative. It may have taken La Redoute a bit longer to catch on, but at £29 their shoes are a bargain even now.
