Marc Jacobs jelly ballet pumps
He's done them as peep-toe wedges, he's even made them into gladiator sandals; so why shouldn't Marc Jacobs turn jelly shoes into ballet pumps too? There are many of you who are probably recoiling right now - head in your right hand, left fist shaking in the air screaming "why Marc, why??" - but something about them doesn't entirely repulse me. Sure, jelly + footwear = sweaty feet; but is it weird that the little bow and sugary pink colour makes me want to eat them? At $155, they'd definitely be one expensive exercise in confectionery. What's your take on them?

The black one actually looks nice and patent-leather-ish. Plus I think Marc had thought about reducing the sweaty feet factor by having little holes at the side and the cut out detail in front.
I'd say yes to jelly shoes as stylish as this (the black one). I think jelly shoes are amazing for travelling - if they get wet, just wipe dry; if they get dirty, just throw in the sink and wash. Great alternative to wellies on rainy days too, although they don't keep the bottom of the pants dry.
I don't have the budget to buy Marc's jelly shoes though - let me know if you find a pair like Marc's but cheaper.
