I usually have a tough time with espadrilles, partly because generally they're my least favourite shoe style! However, Banana Republic have come up with a pair that I'm a bit of a fan of. The slingback open-toes come in earthy tones (black, deep red or white) with canvas uppers and footbeds, leather lining and a 3.5 jute heel. The crossover detail and contrast trim add a feminine touch to what is usually a chunky shoe, and at US$49.99 (reduced from US$68) they aren't going to break the bank either.
