L. K. Bennett's horrid 'Faris' lace flat shoes! Eek!

Is it just me who greets the news that these L. K. Bennett flats are sold out in sizes 35 and 38, with degree of disbelief?! I know I've been scathing about lace on shoes recently but I really don't have a problem with the concept at all. Well, as long as I don't look like I belong on a street corner late at night, and provided that the shoes in question don't look as though they are so old and nasty that they are decaying with patchy holes as though they've worn through! Is my reaction to these too strong to say that they tick both boxes?! Ok ok, well they aren't that bad and I guess it does depend on how transparent and thin the lace actually is, but for £119 I won't be buying them in a hurry. Will you?
