Top Five: Gina shoes

Yes, another day is bringing another 'Top Five' from me - however, there's one crucial twist today, and that is that it's actually a 'Top Three'. No ladies, I promise that I'm not just being lazy today. The reason is that while I love some aspects of Gina shoes, such as the opportunity to pick up small sizes (UK 2-8 is the norm), and the half sizes, I don't love the fact that with this collection particularly, the shoes seem to have suffered a rather too liberal sprinkling of glitter and Swarovski crystals. If you like to bling up an outfit more than me, one sparkle-adorned pair of shoes have made the list, so technically, I suppose that this is my 'Top Four' - but surely you must agree that that just doesn't have the same ring to it?!

First of all, I thought I'd show you these rather Carrie Bradshaw-esque 'Lara' silver heels. Clearly all I'd need to go with them would be an extravagant designer wardrobe, New York apartment, hundreds of friends, three best pals, and a size 4 figure! Clearly most of those are never going to happen but at least I might be able to get my hands on these little pieces of style. The curved lines over the peep-toe add a bit of fun to a very glamorous 4 inch pair of stiletto heels - I can imagine them looking fabulous with a prom-style dress and a set of pedicured toes. But for £335 I'd be wearing them all the way to the cardboard box I'll be living in if I buy one more pair of shoes this month.

Next, in my clearly insatiable attempt to become a scarlet woman, my eyes are drawn to another pair of red shoes. These fun 'Trudy' sandals are £285 and again feature a 4 inch heel. Made from metallic suede leather, they are perfect party shoes - I'm thinking Dorothy in 'The Wizard of Oz' but far, far, FAR more sophisticated.

I've also picked these unusual 'Madison' heels because I want to know what you lovely ladies think of them. Many of us like simple flat thonged sandals, and they're particularly popular this season. However, I'm not entirely sure how it works with a 4 inch heel and thus am absolutely dying to see them in the flesh. Do you think they're too simple for their £285 price tag, or are they the perfect understated yet eye-catching party shoes to go with that gorgeous new dress?!

Finally, for those of you who do love some diamante crystal, I've selected the most glitzy pair of shoes in the collection. These 'Rox' heels are priced at £395 and have a 120mm heel. The website itself describes them as "full-on", with the rose coloured Swarovski diamante crystals, metallic rose leather and diamante buckle - is it just me, or do they epitomise Paris Hilton?!

hi - not sure Gina does go up to a UK size 10...they only carry up to size 41 in the shops and the website only says they carry up to a UK 8. IS there a special, larger sized Gina range somewhere? If so, please let me know! I am a size 9, and would love a pair of sparkly Ginas for my twinkle toes...
