Top Five: Kate Boutique

Love it or hate it, most of you will agree that Keira Knightley has a pretty quirky fashion sense. I'm definitely a fan, and of course, have been stalking her footwear. A few times she's been spotted wearing a pair of sandals which bear an uncanny resemblance to Kate Boutique's J.P. & Mattie Clair leather sandals. At US$126 they're pretty expensive but they aren't metallic for once, which definitely gets the thumbs up from me! They are the first of my top five - carry on to see what else is available!

First up are these delicate Alessandra Sandalia cobra gold sandals by Super Suite Seventy Seven -I'm not sure that I generally view having cobra snake skin wrapped around my feet to be terribly chic and glam, but these really are beautiful. They feature a solid leather band which crisscrosses and fastens at the ankle, and the heel is 3 3/4 inches high. Even better is the fact that they're reduced from US$290 to US$149, although this does mean that sizes are selling out fast!

Next up, as I continue my quest to find red shoes that aren't trashy and tacky in any way, are Pedro Garcia's red Damaris Satin Poppy heels. Featuring a 3.5 inch heel and a rough-hewn satin fringe, you'll even get an extra pair of rubber studs for your heels when you part with your hard-earned US$288. The website seems pretty confident about how comfortable they are to wear which is always good news, and recommends putting them with narrow cropped jeans or, my favourite suggestion, a white eyelet dress (and tan).

I'm also a fan of this simple pair of French Sole flats, available for US$98. I do love French Sole shoes, and although black or brown suede flats aren't too practical on a gorgeously hot day like today, they're always useful to have - especially as an easy and comfortable way to make a pair of skinny jeans sexy yet casual.

Finally, take a look at these 'Natasha' platform cobra natural wedges from Super Suite Seventy Seven. They're reduced from US$364 to US$182 and have a 4 1/4 inch platform, although the overall lift is 1 inch making it 3 1/4 inches. The sandals also, rather excitingly, have metallic gold trim in the cobra skin giving them a slightly quirky colour. I'm not usually a fan of wedges but I do like these - what do you think?

So, what are your thoughts on all of the choices, and are you fan of Ms Knightley's style?
