Top Five: Pretty flat shoes at a discount in the Schuh summer sale
I thought I'd bought all the flat pumps I'd need for the warmer months until I saw what's available in the Schuh summer sale. There's lots of shoes perfect for the season: colourful and a bit whimsical, perfect to perk up a plain dress or jeans. At £10-£20, we've got a mix of open-toe and traditional ballet-style flats, one with just a touch of a heel for those of you who find completely flat shoes a challenge. A girl can never really have too many cute flats, can she?
Clockwise from top left: I love the almond toe and the subtle yellow of this 'Lili' pump, dressed up with star-detail applique. It's £20, down from £39.99.
Next is this cute-as-pie 'Cash' bow pump with a plain leather upper and sweet plastic side bow. It's £15, down from £29.99 and also comes in white with a black bow, and blue with a pink bow.
The 'Cake' button pump with its collar and buttons really reminds me of Olive Oyl, the long-suffering wife of Popeye. I remember her as having buttons with a peter pan collar, but looking at pictures shows me she doesn't. Am I melding her with another character? Either way, these patent pumps are just a tenner, down from £19.99 and are available in mid-blue with white buttons, as well as the pink shown above.
These multi-stripe peeptoe 'Cocoon' flats are really elegant and give a splash of colour without being over the top. They're £10, down from £19.99 and are also available in a camouflage print with pink hearts.
The 'Nante' button peeptoe is a great smart casual shoe with a small wedge heel and comes in the denim blue shown and a lovely buttercup yellow. It's dropped nine quid to £20.

Gee, it was hard, but if I had to choose, I think that I would go with the stripey pair and the blue peep toe. Then again... can you ever have too many?? ;) I'll just take one of each!
