What's worse? An ugly pair of shoes or an even uglier bag?

My friend Molly and I have a regular argument about which is worse; an ugly bag or an even fuglier pair of shoes. I see her point when it comes to an unsightly handbag, it's enough to break your heart, but at least you can customise a dreaded looking tote...there's nowt much you can do with a weird looking pair of shoes. So I put her to the 'rock and a hard place test', you know, if you had to choose between a naked Jeremy Clarkson or George Clooney with a cold sore who would you kiss? Only this time I did it with shoes and a handbag. So if your life depended on wearing one of these to complete an outfit, which would you choose? The Baby Phat 'Kim Cork Medallion' wedges or the Cynthia Rowley Crossbody Fur Bag? Me personally I'd still go for the bag, coyote flap and all, and that's saying something!

I think I'd actually go with the shoes on this one. I mean, there definitely isn't anything you can do with a huge random piece of coyote dangling in the breeze, but with these shoes, wear long pants, and then chuck them over the boardwalk when you have the first chance..

the shoes! cos the bag is made from fur which except the obvious factors is really a fugly bag!! if u wore it in the rain ud smell like a wet dead animal - which is not a good look lol. and maybe u cud hide most of the ugly wedges under jeans lol

The bag. because it might be useful if you got lost in a howling snowstorm, and because I just can't wear most thong-style shoes, they hurt my toes.

The shoes... I would wear them to a shoeshop to buy a new nicer pair of shoes and to run away from that bag in!

The shoes - because of all the reasons above - long skirt or jeans would cover them but there's no hiding place from that bag!

I work at macy's in the U.S., have sold those shoes and can say the are not nearly as hideous in person. They actually sell very well.
