I really can not understand all the people admiring Irregular Choice shoes. Those are simply ugly shoes being advertised as "original", "unusual" etc. Yes, unusual, but pretty much bad unusual. And this... er, shoe?!...proves my theory.

IC really has been slated here recently.

OK this pair aren't the best pair of shoes in the world but there are plenty of high end designers who produce some outrageous monstrosities that they call shoes and charge people hundres and hundres for them and they are snapped up!

Everyone has their bad days and that doesn't exclude designers. At the time I'm sure they looked great on paper but not so much when they became a real shoe.

I agree with all the shoes Jimena has chosen, proof that the designers at IC aren't off their rockers quite yet.

I don't care what IC come up with next I'll always love them for their creativity and originality even if that makes me mental!!

The heel is fantastic, at last some one trying to do something different with shoes, not just stick more stupid jewels on the front of the same old shoes. The toe, quirky, different, and stops that terrible overhang of toes. The material, fun, very '80s and hense bang on trend with this 'New Rave' that is so big this season.

And what you get is a fantastic comfy shoe that will show you have a brain, and dont just but new look or primark copies of dumb no brainer shoes.

Come on shoewawa, you know there is a lot of IC love out there. Why result to saying stupid things about a pair of fabulous shoes, into which a lot more thought has gone than to this post.

Now, I like IC shoes, but these are not particularly nice. I detest the shoe-boot style anyway, but the choice of fabric here is just hideous. The heels though - they are pretty ace. And again, the toe is nice. So no, not the worst shoes in history, not even near, although the choice of materials is to be wondered at.

Sorry but im miss shoewawa on this they are hideous!!
OK i have to confess i do like the heel... thats cool... but the rest is one huge no no!
You can pic out the pros of each individual feature all you like but stap back and look at the bigger picture... all those "quirky" little things still add up to one nasty pair of shoes...

Irregular Choice aren't going to be favourites with everyone now are they. Instead of slating every pair they come out with, why don't you realize this and do some proper shoe journalism.

i agree - this is definitely one of the worst pairs of shoes ive ever seen :S disgusting. really. that has nothing to do with the fact that theyre IC - i normally love their shoes for their crazy quirkiness.

i also think that the heel is a very cool part of this shoe - but its not very original. very reminiscent of the united nude eamz heel. which is much better done.

This has indeed caused the mixed reaction I expected!

For all who disagree, that's what shoe shopping and fashion in general is all about! I think these are awful, and that's not going to change, but the article's all about my opinion. If yours differs then that's what debate is for.

I have seen some absolutely gorgeous shoes from IC but whatever the designer, when a shoe goes wrong there's no denying it from my point of view. When they do it right, it's great. When it's wrong, this sort of thing happens.

Let the fashion debates rage on!
