Do these 'Lolita' cobalt blue high piece panelled sandals from Shellys take disco fever too far?

lolita.bmp If you're of the Cameron Diaz shoes-should-make-a-statement school of thought, as I usually am, what do you think of this pair of peep-toe ankle strap heels? Reduced from £50 to £40, the 'Lolita' high piece panelled sandals from Shellys are available in cobalt, featuring shiny metallic stripes which remind me remarkably of a shade of tinsel we used to use for the Christmas tree, as well as beige. I suspect they could be love 'em or hate 'em shoes - which camp are you in?

Kinda love them, but not completely. I am not too keen on this medium hight heel. I prefere it as Louboutin does, skyscraper :)

Hmmm, close, but no cigar, as they say. I like them but as S says they should have a higher heel, and the tinsel bits are a little tacky. If the metallic was a clear flat sheen they'd be better, they look sortof snakeskin-ised.

Tacky, overall, but so close to disco-fabulous
