L. K. Bennett have reduced the price of these unusual purple suede 'Romulus' court heels

romulus.bmp I still haven't decided what to think about these 'Romulus' court heels from L. K. Bennett. I'm not sure how the mythological story of feral children Romulus and Remus links to this shoe in particular - Romulus being the first King of Rome, who killed his twin brother, Remus, in a dispute over who had the support of the local gods. The rich purple suede is rather dramatic though, so maybe that's the link - plus it gets bonus points because it reminds me of the Cadbury chocolate wrapper. My problem mainly lies in the brown detailing - I can't decide if it ruins the heels or enhances them. Reduced from £119 to £89, they are still more damaging to your finances than a bar of chocolate, but at least they won't alter your waistline!
