Manolo Blahnik's hair-calf camo print heel

BGX045E_mn.jpgThat isn't leopard print, or even spotted-cow print, despite being made with hair-calf covered leather. Its camo! Manolo Blahnik covers the entire shoe in black and white, calf-hair CAMO? The gorgeous shape, complete with a very interesting opening for the toes and a lovely scooped shape dipping along the slope of the shoe, a wooden 4'' heel and exquisite Italian craftmanship are all unmistakably stylish and high quality, but the camo thing has me gaping just a bit. I have to wonder who the target consumer is...what daring fashionista, with US$615 to drop, will take the giant fashion leap required to wear these Manolos?

I gasped.

However, if you look at every great shoe artist, you're bond to find something disagreeable or strange... I think this was the one for Manolo
