I'm noticing a lot of chunky heels in new season designer shoes at the moment and I can't decide whether or not I like it. Usually I'm a great defender of the stiletto and I think there's nothing sexier than a slim heel, but are they out of favour with designers as they try to make a new and interesting shoe?
These Mary Janes from Marc by Marc Jacobs are a perfect example, and while I am not usually a chunky heel fan, it seems to work here. Whether or not you like the spats-style white toe is a judgement call but I'm a fan, and think that the pretty shoe design might be tainted by a slimmer heel. Did I just say that? This pair are now available from Net-a-Porter for £265.
