Oh dear, oh dear - my mother was right; I really have turned out to be a contrary soul. Clearly linked to my past love-hate relationships with peas, hamsters and the colour pink, I am this afternoon renouncing my earlier expression of exasperation with all shoe-things metallic-looking. Yes, that's right: I'm a fan once more. The powerful pair which has converted me? Some £15 metallic faux snakeskin flats from ASOS! Yes, that's right! While I'm tiring of gold and silver, rename them bronze and pewter and I'm sold! Pretty, cheap and easy to wear with most outfits in warm or cooler weather, I think I'm going to snap a pair up.
