Tamara Henriques keeps us dry with her blue butterfly wellies

hrwellies.jpgApparently, the 15th July is going to be the only truly sunny day of this year, and the rest of the season we can expect rain, rain and a bit more rain. So forgive me for making Shoewawa a bit of a wellyfest at the moment...so much so that I've added a new 'wellies' category to the site! Needs must, my damp friends. Tamara Henriques, queen of the fashionista wellington boot, has answered all my secret pleas with these blue butterfly print babies. How cute would they look with a denim skirt and those requisite leggings (I know, but in the changing weather I've had to give in). See the website for stockists, and expect to pay about £30 for a pair.

OOoh Gemma, what has become of you?
I have always felt an affinity to your amazing taste in shoes and general style. You have seen the beauty in IC green snake shoes and laughed in the face of 'designers' so why, oh why, oh why embrace the 'beauty' of wellies?
1) They are too short too make even the skinniest leg look good
2) patterns, no!
3) WHAT!
You must retract your love of wellington boots poste haste, and save us all from a future bound to rubber footwear.

Hey, it's pouring down with rain on a daily basis! Needs must. I wouldn't wear these to work in the middle of London, but if I was walking or camping or going to a festival, they'd definitely be on my shopping list.

I think we all need to embrace the novelty every now and then!
