Ashley Olsen in Azzedine Alaia's patent gladiator sandals

I bet gladiators didn't often wear sandals quite like these ones, did they? Ashley Olsen does, though, and while these certainly won't be to everyone's taste, I've always admired the Olsens for their rather brave footwear choices. Who else would chose to pair knee-high patent sandals with a yellow skirt and black jacket? Ashley wore these shoes to the East Hampton Social Concert this weekend, but what do you think of them? Would you ever wear shoes like these?

you know what? she pulls those off... i saw some hideous white boots similar to those, but so much more horrific... (and they had the flip-flop toe thong too). So after seeing these black boots' evil stepsister, I'd say these aren't too bad.
