Gwyneth Paltrow's stiletto heeled shoes get her in trouble with her physiotherapist
Naughty, naughty Gwyneth Paltrow! The actress turned up at the Comic-Con in San Diego this weekend in these strappy silver stilettos - and then spent the evening begging people not to take pictures of her feet because she's not actually supposed to be wearing them. Ooops. Gwyneth is currently on a high heel ban following knee surgery, but apparently decided fashion was more important than function in this case.
"Don't show my non-orthopaedic shoes," she begged photographers. "I got off the crutches two weeks ago and the cane yesterday and I've been doing a lot of physical therapy and I'm seriously not supposed to be in these shoes, but that's OK." Um, is it, though?
Now, I'm as dedicated to my stiletto heels as the next woman, but I'd like to think that if I'd just spent weeks on crutches and had surgery on my knees, I wouldn't want to jeopardise all that good work just so that I could throw on a pair of stilettos. And it's not exactly the greatest example to be setting, is it? After all, it's not like there aren't lots of pairs of pretty flats she could have worn instead, to spare her poor old knees while they're still recovering.
What do you think? Would you slip on your stilettos no matter how painful or risky to your health they might be? Or could flats have been just as glam on Gwyn?

oh i don't see her problem with flats, she doesn't "need" heels, she's tall already..! and naturally graceful and elegant (well, not that time in THAT dress though).
immature from her to worry because of her physiotherapist... she should worry about herself (health) instead of being told off.
so i think it's pretty clear i WOULD NOT wear heels (basically i can't, but i wouldn't) if my health is compromised.
