Have you ever walked home barefoot because of painful shoes? 48% of us have, apparently...
Despite being totally addicted to my "killer" heels, I'm pleased to say I've never actually worn shoes so painful that I've had to kick them off and walk home barefoot - that's what taxis are for, I say. Apparently an awful lot of British woman have been forced to do just that, though, after their skyscraper heels became just too painful to wear for one second longer: in fact, research by Kiwi Smiling Feet suggests that around 48% of us have taken the barefoot walk of pain.
The company, of course, does have a bit of a vested interest in producing this research: they make special transparent gel cushions which are designed to fit the main pressure points on your feet and make those killer heels a little less likely to feel like they're actually going to kill you. Well, it certainly sounds safer than walking home barefoot - anyone want to admit to actually doing that?

I must admit that just last week I trounced home barefoot with shoes in hand. But I also admit that it's my own dumb fault, I neglected to break in the shoes before I wore them.
