Hints at next spring's shoe trends
If you're a bit of a forward planner (perhaps the incredibly organised type of person who always writes their Christmas present 'thank you letters' by January 1st each year), then you may well be interested to know which shoe trends look like they're going to be popular in spring 2008.
Last month's WSA (World Shoe Assocation) Show showcased lots of S/S collections, and there look like there could be a few changes ahead. Floral prints seem likely to be big news, as well as men's inspired pinstripes and new prints, although leopard is well and truly out of the picture now, with designs such as giraffe print being the focus instead. Buckles and velcro were featured as well as metallics and bright patent leather colours such as yellow and pink. Vintage design also seemed to have inspired some of the designers, with nods to feminine 1920s-esque menswear, as well as mod Twiggy-style looks with big buckles and square toes.
