How many pairs of black shoes do you need, anyway?

According to a survey in Canada this week, the vast majority of men (around 85% to be exact) think it's unreasonable to own more than five pairs of shoes. Well, there's a surprise - most men I know don't own five pairs of shoes in total, never mind five pairs of black ones. Less surprisingly, off the woman surveyed, almost 40% thought that more than five pairs of black shoes was absolutely fine, and not at all unreasonable.

This got me thinking: I definitely own more than five pairs of black shoes, but I will admit to only wearing a couple of pairs on a regular basis. What about you? How many pairs of black shoes do you own, and how many do you think you really need?
