Kurt Geiger's 'Laurel' brogue courts
I don't know what's the matter with me at the moment, but this is the third time I've looked at Kurt Geiger's 'Laurel' flats, and try as I might, I can't get rid of my initial enthusiasm for them. They are definitely more Fred Astaire than Lucy Hulme in style, but there's something about the fun androgynous style that I love. They're available in black, blue or grey, and have cut out detailing behind the heel which does add a feminine touch. They're £75 - is there anyone else out there who likes them too?

Recently, I commented on Shoewawa that shoe buyers need to have a sense of adventure and live dangerously while buying shoes. The idea is to go beyond one's usual taste and experiment with emerging styles. You have a great eye and I love this shoe. I design shoes and wish I had designed this one. It's got so much going on - androgynous styling, 1940's/1950's nostalgic classicism, and reasonable pricing...This shoe is probably a cousin of Kurt Geiger's Lara flats where the use of color and well-proportioned satin embellishment transforms the otherwise mundane into something special.
