Lisa Carney's High Tide Heels are flipping mental

Happy days are here, even shoe designers have a sense of humour! These truly insane High Tide Heels are the creation of Australian designer Lisa Carney. At first they made my eyes pop, but once I understood the obvious joke behind them I had to give the girl a hand.

She told Manolo's Shoe Blog, "I made them for my catwalk show for Mercedes Australian Fashion week 2002 at Bondi Iceberbs. This model opened the show and played the part of Ursula Andres walking (with not alot of grace) from sea. What a laugh!" Brilliant. But perhaps not the most practical idea, even if you wish to wear heels with your bikini.
