So, it looks like huge platforms are going to be big next season, huh? Almost all of the new collections seem to contain at least one pair of shoes that you'll need a ladder to climb into, and Marni is no exception. Their peep-toe platforms are a little unusual in that they're made of satin rather than leather, and throw orange and pink together in a way that really doesn't sound like it should work but, surprisingly, does. I'm not sure what everyone else thinks, but £295 seems like a lot of money to me for a pair of shoes that I probably wouldn't get a lot of wear out of, even although they'd certainly make a statement paired with a slinky brown dress. Try wearing something like these with trousers or jeans, though, and you're probably going to have to have everything in your wardrobe altered to stop them flapping around inches from the ground. Will you be buying into the huge platform trend?
