Matalan's ribbon detail platforms - now in store!
You might recognise these babies from an old column of mine. The good news for those of you who'd spotted them and fallen in love is that they're now in Matalan stores, and can be yours for the ridiculously low price of £14 a pair. I nabbed mine on Monday, and gave them a spin in the office yesterday. My mother might have hated them ("This is obviously where you and I differ!") but the girls in the office loved them! These are definitely shoes that get people talking, though they're super-high and my feet were killing me after walking in them. But for the odd day here and there, it's a small price to pay. The compliments always outweigh the pain with a great pair of shoes!

Soooooooo jealous!! I've wanted a pair since you posted them months ago.
I found a couple of pairs a few weeks ago in my local Matalan but of course not in my size (Booooooo).
They are so pretty and such a great price!

I got mine a week ago, and wore them last friday, but yes, it was not fun. They rubbed my ankle, but I didnt break them in and anticipated this so I had socks in my bag lol! But there was just something about them, that made them hard to walk in. They point very forwards, or even outwards, made me wonder if I had them on the wrong feet!
I can walk in nearly any pair of shoes, bar Pigalle-esque Red or Deads, so it was strange putting these on. Practice makes perfect, I guess, and I wont be wearing them when I have to walk to work again!

these are exactly the same as a pair of Kurt Geigers I bought last winter, for considerably more than £14!

Got mine today, been dying for them since they appeared in the column months ago. I also spotted some high sided sh-boots and some with button details, but was in a rush, so had to pass.....this time, I'll be back!

I've got the shoe boots you're talking about Gemma, they are GREAT! They are so comfy and great quality and a bargin at only £20!
Matalan is really improving from season to season!
