In matters of size, I'm probably unusual in that I'd go for small over large any day of the week. I am often a fan of large wedge heels on other people, but on me it has to be a small one, such as that of Monsoon's 'Jules' flat slingbacks. Priced at a fairly reasonable £35, they feature a buckle detail and an open toe, and although they involve the dreaded word 'synthetic', they're the perfect way to try out the wedge trend if you're new to it, without having to go completely over the top.
