Everyone seems to be jumping on this contrast coloured toe design ever since Louboutin's Emily boots. The spectator shoes are everywhere in black and white, as Amber found out yesterday, and now Nine West are giving us their spin on the style.
These Vasca mary janes are a truly classic looking shoe, but I'm not sure whether the twist works. Made in purple and fuschia satin, there's something not quite right about the toe. Perhaps this only works in leather, as the tailoring on the satin doesn't sit well where the colours meet. That aside, these stacks are still very lovely and oh so cutting edge to boot. these are copies of miu miu! not louboutin
No one's claiming they're Louboutin copies, Sha. Orla said that Louboutin has also made cap toed shoes recently.
I saw these a while back too and expressed the same concern - http://shoedaydreams.blogspot.com/2007/07/imitation-flattery_31.html
I'm just not sure that they are going to be as well made and thier designer inspirations. But I may order them and can always return them. Although I don't wear a ton of purple. I know we are going in to Fall, but I wish they did a color combo like the creme and burgundy.

I think all that sha was saying is that last season, before the louboutin emilys, miu miu did the whole color contrast cap toe thing. Also miumiu made a pair of shoes that looks pretty similar/the same as these shoes excpet for the color.
The pink color isn't well chosen - it reminds me the tip of a penis. :/
thanks GG - that's exactly what i was saying.
but umm, i don't know what penises you've been looking at Puk :S
