Paris Hilton to design shoes - would you buy footwear from this woman?

paris-hilton-shoes.jpgYou have to hand it to Paris Hilton: there's just no keeping her down, is there? (Whether or not that's a good thing, of course, isn't for me to say) No sooner is she out of jail and back on the 'sleb circuit than she announces that she's about to try her hand at designing shoes.

What qualifies Paris Hilton to design shoes, I hear you ask? Well, nothing really, unless you count the fact that she wears them, but that didn't stop Jessica Simpson and JLo bringing out their own lines, and it won't stop Paris either. Her deal with Antebi Footwear Group will see her create a range of stilettos, flats, wedges and casual styles and is expected to go on sale early next year. This latest move from Paris has been rumoured for a few weeks now, but now that it's been officially confirmed, what does everyone think of it? Are you looking forward to stepping into Paris Hilton's shoes, or will you be giving this one a wide berth?

Besides the fact that everyone hates her, she does have very good taste in shoes. From louboutin to jimmy choos to some very chic styles. It's not like Mary Kate Olsen and her balenciaga boots. Think cute understated, but stylish peep toes and pointed toe pumps and platforms! I remember all of us saying how Jessica simpson's line of shoes would be a total disaster, but I cannot stop buying them. They are too cute!

it could have something to do with the frustration stemmed from having to have shoes designed/special made for her... she wears a size 12

that said, I really don't care for her either

There was a good discussion about this on Manolo's site. I say - even if they are good, they are bad and not worth my money.

Yuck!

Don't believe for one minute she will design any shoes - more like a designer will be asked to come up with a load of designs inspired by her lifestyle, then she will be given them to look at so she can pick the ones she wants to have 'named' as hers!

I agree with Beans, because I feel Paris' pain! Having size 11 feet (australian) it's a bitch to get shoes that fit me, doesn't help that I love shoes more than oxygen!
Maybe this means she'll have a few larger sizes in her range *crosses fingers*
