Play the Shoe Stylist - back by popular demand!

yelloow-t-bars.jpgWe know, we know - you all love a bit of shoe-styling on a Friday afternoon, so I'm pleased to announce that our Friday feature, Play the Shoe Stylist, is back by popular demand! Regular readers will already know how this works, but take a look after the jump anyway, as we've made a slight change to the rules this time around. For those who've never played 'Shoe Stylist' with us, it's pretty simple: we show you a shoe, you pick out an outfit to match. Easy! We'll then pick the best outfits submitted, and will publish the results over at Catwalk Queen on Tuesday.

Play the Shoe Stylist isn't meant to be easy, so this week I've picked these yellow buckle t-bars from Topshop , which are in a colour I know not everyone will like. Your challenge is to create a fabulous outfit around them regardless! Read on for the rules...

The Basics:

- Take over the site! Style an outfit to go with the shoe we've chosen
- We won't pick 'easy' shoes, they'll always be a bit unusual or unique
- Post details of your outfit as a comment on this post, and email your graphics to us.
- Include links to each item so we can see what you're talking about
- Make sure your outfit isn't similar / the same as any other suggestions
- Our favourite outfits will be displayed on Catwalk Queen the following week
- Everyone will know how fabulously stylish you are!

Images:

To make things as easy on us all as possible, we now need you to email us the pictures of the items you've chosen, rather than just sending the links. If you know your way around your graphics program, the best way to do this is to make up a graphic showing off your outfit - take a look at some of the past Shoe Stylist picks on Catwalk Queen for inspiration.

Remember to include the shoe in the graphic, and put your name somewhere on it too. Your graphics must be no wider than 450 pixels and the file size no larger than 150kb. Email it to me at amber@ambermcnaught.com, and let me know where each item came from (just in case anyone asks). Remeber to put the words "Shoe Stylist" in your subject line, so your email doesn't get lost!

Have fun!

  • You're not supposed to be convinced by them, Lake Shore, you're supposed to create an outfit that works with them :)

Thanks for everyone's contributions so far!

My earlier description seems to have vanished! Apologies if it ends up double-posting.

My simple (but hopefully understated and chic) contribution:

Yellow plaid shorts (Vince, at shopbop)

V-neck sweater with silk chiffon bow tie (Moschino at Net-a-Porter)

Leater tote with knotted drawstring (Kooba at Saks)

Toirtoise sunglasses with logo stripe (Versace at Sunglass Hut)

Tights optional depending on the weather (and how happy you are with your legs!!)

Some items are on sale so prices may vary accordingly.

Unsure whether or not to post links, so I havent as they could be obsolete within a day!

I have picked a fab grey silk shirt from Warehouse, £45, woolen 'Lady' trousers by FCUK at £70, a cross the body pouch from Accessorize at £15, a funky jewelled hairband for a tenner at Topshop and a yellow ring from the sale at Miss Selfridge, £2.
