Pucci ditch the print and go for classic black and gold strappy sandals

The last couple of seasons have been all about print, and if you love bold and wacky prints, well, Emilio Pucci's your man. Sometimes a change really is as good as a rest, though, and as far as "rests" go, these black and gold Pucci crossover sandals are the equivalent of a six week summer holiday. What is it about black and gold, I wonder, that just works so well on shoes? And buttons: show me a shoe with a strategically placed button and I'll show you a maxed-out credit card. But enough about me: back to the shoes. They're $420, so not the cheapest sandals you'll find, but they're the kind of shoes you'll probably be wearing for years. And is it just me, or does that crossover strap make them look somehow really comfortable?
