Usually I'm the first person to step away from a pair of shoes when I realise they're faux snakeskin (I'm also a tad wary of real snakeskin but that's another story) as I think it can look seriously tacky at times. However, I absolutely love River Island's faux snakeskin platform sandals. They're a gorgeous bronze colour and the faux snakeskin actually has a glittery shine rather than a plastic-y tinge. The curved straps are also an unusual detail - they're the perfect summer to autumn party shoes and at £49.99 they won't break the bank!
