Satin open toe platform pumps from Marc by Marc Jacobs at Shopbop
I know that I wasn't convinced by the similar pewter version of these Marc by Marc Jacobs shoes when I wrote about them last month, but I'm head over heels in love with these adorable peep-toes. Salmon pink in colour (although they're also available in black), they look deceptively comfortable because of the satin material and gentle ruffle trim. They also feature a bow, although I'm pleased to be able to say that this time it's just one per shoe, and a four inch heel. The price tag of US$485 is admittedly rather painful, but really just means that the quicker we all start saving, the better! What do you think of them?

I thought these were adorable too. I love the color and the ultra-girly-ness of them. But when you do the zoom in at Saks (or was it Neimans?) the edge isn't really a ruffle, more like rutched elastic material.
I think if he had done a ribbon or chiffon ruffle I would have bought them. But with the material he used, I decided to pass.
