Ok. I know that platforms are a wonderful way to add fabulous height without sacrificing the long-term well being of your feet; and I know that buckled, Chloe-esque heels are all the rage; but there's something just a bit wrong with these t-bars from Topshop. While the same style in black and maroon look reasonably nice, the high-shine metallic on this pair lends a rather alien - and dare I say it - unpleasant, plastic-like quality. Another subtle kind of ugly: fans can pick up a pair for £55 from Topshop.
